Every Friday without fail it’s Family Fun Night which means homemade pizzas and a movie night. It is one night a week that we absolutely look forward to. Our life gets really busy with sports, Bryan working late, and working hard out on the property and house. It’s a night with no interruptions and just a good ole family night.
We sometimes make our own personal pizzas or I make two large-size pizzas. The boys love marinara sauce, fresh mozzarella, and tomatoes.
My son and I really look forward to Friday and the prepping for pizza night. This recipe is so simple he is able to follow it. If you can’t find a warm place in your house you can put it in your Instant Pot.
Yes, you read that correctly. Put your dough into your IP to keep it warm. Click the keep warm button on low and set your time for 2 hours. It works beautifully if you are in a pinch.
You can find my Pizza Dough recipe below.
After you roll out your dough put some cornmeal on the pizza paddle or cookie sheet. This makes it easier for you to transfer to your pizza stone. I put the dough on the paddle or cookie sheet before I top it. I like to swirl some olive oil on the dough and push my fingers in like focaccia bread. Then top with sauce, cheese, and any other toppings.
*Note: I preheat my oven and stone at 450* while rolling the dough and topping it.
